Here is the forecast data for the first day of spring on Sunday, March 20th, 2016. The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Northern New Jersey. The weather team is not in agreement on the potential weather for the weekend. We see reports with potential snow accumulation ranges of 1-4” and 3-6”. Some reports suggest that we might experience a grazing and light event with little accumulation on the pavement as a result of the warm ground temps. The forecast data still leaves room for a low chance that the storm could be stronger, with a plow-able accumulation of snow, but this appears unlikely based on current models. The event timing appears to be the early morning hours on Sunday with it continuing during the afternoon and overnight hours before it begins to diminish into the morning on Monday. We will continue to monitor.
Have a great day!
